About Featured Players

The Jr A Mountaineers have only been around since 2006, and in that short time the club has established itself as a producer of top quality talent for NCAA schools, Canadian Universities, the WLA, and even the NLL.

The Jr A Mountaineers program puts a high emphasis on using lacrosse as a tool to get an education, and prides itself on promoting high-perfomance athletics. Check out some of the career highlights from current and past Jr A Mountaineers below.

I am studying Kinesiology, and playing field lacrosse, at Notre Dame de Namur (NCAA Div II). Plans for the future, I would like to get drafted by an NLL team after I graduate since you can't be drafted and still play in the NCAA. I also want to further my Kinesiology education and turn it into a career in Optometry.

playing status: Active
school/occupation: Mount Royal College
notable: Plays Jr B hockey for Calgary Buffaloes.

Currently I am attending Mount Royal College. I am taking the Bachelor of business and Administration (BBA) program. I wish they had a lacrosse team but they sadly don't so now I am playing Jr B hockey in Calgary for the Calgary Buffaloe's. I plan on being at Mount Royal for the full 4 - 5 years to complete my degree due to the fact I have got 3 different scholarships for this year. If going to the states to play feild lacrosse turns into an option then that would be very tempting.

playing status: Graduated
school/occupation: Welder
notable: Drafted by Roughnecks. Currently playing Sr A in WLA with Victoria Shamrocks.

tyler pridham

I plan to play in the WLA next year for Nanaimo. I'm currently attending Carleton University and play for the Ravens (CUFLA, East division). Carleton will be doing some heavy recruitment for next year and I am heading that up. Any players looking to pursue playing university lacrosse should check out www.carletonlacrosse.org.
